Won easily; second and third driving. HAPPY GO LUCKY was pinched off at the elbow, but came to the outside of the leader and, closing up steadily, drew clear in the last eighth at his riders leisure. MIDNIGHT SUN was forced wide when entering the homestretch, but finished gamely and outstayed PAPP in the final drive. The latter set a fast pace and saved ground on all turns, but tired badly in the finnl eighth. PRUNES met with interference in the last quarter. LITTLE DEVIL was knocked back at the elbow. . CHARLCOTE raced OJALA into defeat and made a game finish when challenged. MARCHENA finished fast and held the others safe through the final eighth. TOREItO ran a dull race. WISTFUL was cut off on the turn out of the backstretch and finished fast when clear. RHINE MAIDEN lacked speed throughout. AMERICA III. and THE BANSHEE II., tired after going three-quarters. ISIDORE, then finished gamely and gaining in the closing strides, but was disqualified. ST. ISIDORE was knocked back in the early running and could never regain the lost ground.
