OPA Request CAMDEN. N. J., June 23.— T. Harold Dempsey. OPA director for the Southern New Jersey district, stated here today that he had requested the Garden State Racing Association to close the automobile parking lots at Garden State Park during its 50-day meeting from July 7 to September 11. The request was made to Eugene Mori, president of the track, and the New Jersey Racing Commission. A copy was sent to Governor Edison. Mori notified director Dempsey that the matter will be taken up at a meeting of the board of directors this week. The racing commission, which was asked to order the track to close the parking lots, indicated that it can take no action until it has a legal quorum. At present there is one vacancy on the four-man board.
