Crowd of 40,000 Out to See Renewal of San Vicente ARCADIA, Calif., June 9.— A crowd which at the outset seemed slightly smaller than that of previous Saturdays of the meeting, but was still estimated at nearly *0,000 took advantage of the pleasant weather to visit Santa Anita today. The chief object of attraction was the meeting of the star filly Busher, the fast colt Sir Bim, and the well regarded Sea Sovereign in the 5,000 San Vicente Handicap at one mile. The race was for three-year-olds and was the first of a pair of prep events leading up to the 0,000 Santa Anita Derby. It was believed that Busher would rule a slight favorite at post time. The reception for General Patton and Lt.-Gen. James Doolittle in downtown Los Angeles undoubtedly was responsible for the falling off in attendance during the early part of the program. The track was fast.
