Thanks Lincoln Fields Officials For Entertaining Veterans Russell Sweeney, general manager of the Lincoln Fields Jockey Club, received a letter from Edward R. Pence, recreational director of Hines General Hospital, thanking the local racing organization for its courtesy to Hines patients during the recently conducted Lincoln Fields meeting at Hawthorne. "We would like to take this opportunity to express our thanks and those of the patients of the Hines Unit, "Veterans Administration Hospital, to you and members of the Lincoln Fields Jockey Club, for making it possible for the patients to have those pleasure-filled afternoons of racing entertainment," wrote Director Pence.
