DURABLE went to the front early, made the pace to the stretch under good rating and, responding readily when shaken up on the final turn, increased his advantage thereafter. GUY HOTTEL, a keen factor from the beginning, came to the inside entering the stretch and made a game bid, but was not good enough. GIANT PRINCESS, never far back but between horses throughout, weakened when set down for the drive. NICOGOLD lacked early speed and was never dangerous. CORYDON was never dangerous. SUEDE saved ground when outrun and could not threaten when hard ridden through the stretch. FIGHTING MAC had early speed, but failed to rally when roused for the drive. CHERRY TRIFLE was done early.
