MONEY DOWN broke alertly, drew clear of GREEK STADIUM on the turn, came to the rail and then maintained a safe advantage under urging. PATROL WAGON broke sluggishly, worked his way up on the rail when gaining best stride and closed well in a good effort. ANGLE was forwardly placed throughout and lacked a menacing rally. GREEK STADIUM went well until the stretch and gave way as if short of a top effort. FERRYMAN raced wide. CHAMPS DREAM had speed and tired. WOTTATIE shied to the outside rail just after the start. FIT FIDDLE saved ground in a good effort. WHITSUNTIDE had no excuse. BIG LEAGUER displayed good early speed and tired. RINGGOLDIAN tired. RACHEL G. lacked speed. MAD MADGE bore out on the turn and gave way. TINA LAZAR quit. SUNDOWNER was blocked and hemmed in on the rail rounding the second turn, hurdled poorly over the sixth obstacle, was brought to the outside when ready to make his bid and drew away after taking command. SPRINGDALE, neer far back while under snug restraint, went into command between horses and had nothing left for the finish run COURTNEY, allowed to settle into stride early, closed with good courage and came out of the race sore. CHANTY MAN saved ground and had no excuse. BATTLE WAVE ran in spots. SWING CHEER tired. GOLDEN BOY II. showed little. ROZS BOY fell at the last fence and was lame after the mishap. FLYING MANE broke out along the backstretch when placed under restraint, came again leaving the turn, took command in the stretch and got the nod over FANCY FLYER. The latter moved through on the rail along the backstretch to obtain command, held on stubbornly until the end, but was not good enough. ROBERTO, taken back under stout restraint, made a determined bid in the stretch and faltered. LA NAPPE gave way badly in the final quarter mile. GARIBALDI tired. VINITA ED was through early. IMPERIALIST went into command after the start, shook off STANDEE on the final turn and drew out while winning with something left. RUTH HANSON, well placed on the outside, eased back and came to the rail after the opening quarter mile, went through on the inside and bumped repeatedly in the stretch with STANDEE and faltered. CENSORSHIP, allowed to drop far back early, closed well with a belated bid STANDEE stumbled and nearly went down at the start, was briskly handled to reach a forward position and had nothing left for the drive. ROSEBOROUGH was well placed from the outset, and lacked a closing rally. BLUE ROXY was a sharp factor on the outside, loomed a stout threat leading the turn and weakened.
