Won handily; second driving. Viola B., away poorly, gradually overhauled the leaders on the outside and got up to win going away. Silver Line, after -:i slow start, displayed superior early speed, but was tiring right at the end. Reba secured a flying start and showed much speed, but was swerving all over the course and interfering with the favorite. Prosperity closed a big gap and ran a good race. Grace G. broke well on the inside, but was badly messed alwut and practically shut out in the stretch through interference. Yankee Jim showed suddenly improved form. Won driving: second easily. Jim Pendergast broke running from the rear and set the pace by a safe gap, but was tiring at the end and only won out under the whip. Captain Burnett, on the inside and making a slow start, closed up ground steadily, finished with a rush and was probably best today. Frolic ran in close pursuit of the pacemakers, but tired in the closing drive. Watchful closed a big gap from a slow sendofT. Peaceful .Henry, nearly left, closed a big gap. Fred Uhrig showed superior early speed and was probably short. Swagger had no chance with a had ride. Mrs. Bob, away poorly, closed a big gap under a weak ride. Hush, nearly left, made up a lot of ground and Is extra good. Soundly again failed to stay. Shady Lad finished well. Jerusha ran well to the stretch and tired. Bonar, away badly and generally- messed about, closed a big gap after getting away poorly. Mr. Faruum tired. as if still short. Blackthorn, palpably unfit, liked the going. Vigoroso is not good on a very slow track. Mr. Dingle is not half fit. Scratched 59032 Henry Luehrmann Jr., 105. Forerunner stole a long lead on the first turn and made the running undisturbed, which enabled him to last the journey, as he finished tiring. Haven Run, in reserve behind the winner, only moved up when straightened for home and finished a fast going second and wearing Forerunner down. Yellowstone, always within striking distance, was going fastest of all at the end under an inadequate ride. Bird of Passage, away prly, closed a big gap and will do to watch. Esherin was anchored In the going. Iuvictus was outclassed. Briers ran ,lu bad form and was worse ridden. Cloudlight tired under his weight after having raced into a long gap, was flagging, but game, at the end and probably short. Tim Hurst practically bad no contest for third place.
