WANTS TO TRY OUT .HIS YOUNGSTERS. J. O. Keene told a reporter for the San Francisco Chronicle that his decision to leave Oakland for New Orleans was not due to any dissatisfaction with his treatment by the officials of the New California Jockey Club, as bad been reported. "I am perfectly satisfied with their treatment of me," said Keene, "ad 1 will bring every horse I own out here next season. I came here with twenty-two horses, ten of which I have sold. Red Leaf and Mafalda are the only two in my barn at present that I can race, so I am going to try out my two-year-olds at New Orleans. I have a bunch of them at Memphis, and it is too far to ship them ont here. It I had brought out my two-year-olds I would have stayed out here the entire season. There are a couple of youngsters of mine at Memphis that are worth more than all the other horses In my stable. That is why I am anxious to get back to my two-year-olds."
