JOCKEY ADAMS SUSPENDED FOR FOUL HIDING. Stewards Recommend Revocation of License Continued Bad Weather Mars Racing at Oakland. San Francisco, CaL, January 18. Only case hardened regulars ventured to attend the races at Oakland today. Mud and rain rendered horses and riders alike almost invisible during the running of the different races. The first race developed a barefaced case of foul riding on the part of the bulky Adams on Yo San. The stewards acted promptly, the badly behaved jockey being suspended for the meeting. His case was also referred to the Pacific Coast Jockey Club with a recommendation that his license be revoked. Adams badge was taken up during the afternoon. C. C. McCatTerty claimed Yo San for . F. W. Doss hid Critical up from 00 to 00 after his victory in the closing race, hut he was retained by his owner. L. Williams, the crack negro rider, will be allowed to resume riding next Saturday. The local stewards are coming in for an unusual amount of public approval. The Jockey Club has advised intending shippers from Ascot Park to hold oh pending the completion of new stalls now being built at Oakland.
