MAY OPEN DOUGLASS PARK APRIL 1. Louisville. Kv February 20. Work on the grandstand and other buildings at Douglass Park is being rushed with a view" to having the plant ready for racing by April 1. There is a ruinor about that it is the intention of the Western Jockey Club to grant the entire month of April to Douglass Park and to fix the opening at Memphis about May 1. It is further claimed that there is no desire to conflict with the meeting at Churchill Downs, which is to open May 3, but it is said to be the intention to reopen Douglass Park on June 1 for a meeting of indefinite duration.
