Our Own ran a good race and finished resolutely, although tiring. Lucy Marie finished fast. Baneful showed early speed, but tired. Friction was off poorly and made up ground. The latter ran iu prominent contention all the way and, finishing resolutely, easily disposed of Canyon for second place. Canyon ran a good three-quarters, but tired badly in the stretch drive. Rainland began slowly, but made up ground steadily and finished with a rush. Dapple Gold, suddenly improved, ran to his best form, but tired in the stretch drive. AVedgwood finished gamely. Dr. Sprulll dislikes heavy going. Fair Calypso showed early speed, but quit badly.
