Labor was rated along behind the leaders until well around the far turn, where he moved up with a rush, took command when straightened out In the stretch and held the race safe all of the last furlong. Filler was favored by the going and ran a good race, but was driving to the limit at the end to stall off Miss Nannie I.-. The latter closed a gap and was going fastest of all at the end and would have been second in a few more strides. Tapiola and Thistle Heather finished fast. John Gamer tired. Slielagh came through fast on the inside on the turn for home and appeared dangerous, but tired. Kama began slowly and closed a big gap. saying ground on every turn. Mayor Duncan closed up a lot of ground and rau farther than any horse in the race, finishing on the outside after going very wide on the turn iuto the homestretch. Sallie B. B. went well.
