Prestano passed the early pacemaker when beginning the last six furlongs and, Increasing Ills lead as the race progressed, won cantering. Easy Street made the running for a half mile and then relinquished it, but maintained a secure second to the end under Inadequate handling, the horse pulling up comparatively fresh. El Piloto, away poorly, improved his position on the extreme outside, coming on with a lielated end rush. No Remark went well throughout. Mr. Dingle, still big and high, showed slight improvement. Wee Lass quickly raced into the lead, iucreaslng her advantage as the race progressed, and, winning off, was much the best. Ebel Thatcher is improving, maintained a lucky and prominent position from the start and finished well through the stretch Into an easy second. Frank Flittner, on his own courage, steadily Improved his position, closing up witli a belated rush at the end. Dick Wilson failed to stay after forward contention for six furlongs. Lovey Mary was always outpaced and palpably handicapped by the going. Tavora ran poorly. Im Joe quit early. Hcdgethorn, nearly left, closed a big early gap and then retired. Golden Buck, from a Hying start, raced to an early lead, which he relinquished to the favorite on the backstretch, but came again In the last furlong and all but got up. Peggy ONeal lost ground at a critical period on the last turn, but dropped into an easy third at the end. May Holladay ran forwardly and gamely throughout. Lansdown was outrun for the first half, but was going well in the stretch. Yellowstone was badly interfered with. El Chihuahua will still do to watch. Briarthorpe developed superior early speed and was unable to maintain it for over five furlongs, but was an easy third. Blackthorn showed good early speed, but was not quite good enough here. Pentagon, after close" pursuit of the early pacemaker, tired badly. Canejo was out of place here. Montana Peeress disliked the going. Overweights Canejo, 2 pounds. Laura F. 51., within striking distance in the early running, moved up rapidly on the last turn and caught and passed tlie leader midway of the stretch, seemingly an easy winner, but was suddenly brought to a hard drive to stall off the quickly rejuvenated Tarn OShanter. The latter, after displaying his usual superior early speed and relinquishing his lead as if lieaten, came again unexpectedly and finished wearing the winner down. The Reprobate, away slowly, after quite an effort to get up, raced into a long lead on the last turn and then tired badly. The others ran poorly and were far back at the finish.
