WALKER TRAINS WINNER OF GERMAN DERBY Memphis, Tenn.. June 25. A cablegram received here today from Ceorge AValker, former trainer of J. AV. Schorrs racing stable, announces the success of Fels in the German Derby, run at Hamburg, Sunday. Fels is owned by Weinberg Brothers and trained by AValker. The Weinberg horses are leading the winners on the German turf in money won by a wide margin. AAinnie OConnor, who is riding for the stable Is leading the German jockeys. According to the cablegram the Silver Shield trophy has also been won a second time by a horse from the AVeinberg string. The victory of Fels murks the first success of an American trainer in the German Derby.
