Happy Jack II., favored by the stiff goiug and away In a forward position, followed Malleable closely for the first half, took the lead when called on and won drawing away at the end. Malleable, away running, showed the most speed for the first half and, when tiring slightly, was bumped Into by Happy Jack II and knocked off his stride, then finished well and ran a good race. Sharp Boy had no mishaps, ran a good race and finished gamely. Rodolfo closed a big gap steadily and finished fast. The Mate came from a long way btfck and bad to overcome some interference. Bugler, t:anl ridden all the way, followed close up In the early stages and, making an extra hard effort in the final quarter, wore down the leaders and won drawing away. Euiar. probably best, trailed far back, Heffernan being too light to keep him up in the early stages, but finished going fast through the stretch and easily outstayed the others for second place. Longbright came from a long way back and finished well In the worst going. Teddy tired badly after a good display of speed for the first three-quarters. AViggle Stick ran a good half and tired. Moutalbau suffered from interference and was going fast at the end. Friction went well. Alvlse tired in the last quarter. The others were at all times badly outrun. AVebber lost ground by going wide. Princess Marie was in close quarters during the early running and ran a fairly good race. Ilelmuth quit badly after going a half. Invlctus ran forwardly from the start and outgaiued Filler in the closing drive. The latter showed early speed, but led ou sufferance. Mainspring was sore when going to the post and ran a bad race.
