JOCKEY CHERRY ASKS FOR A RELEASE. Xew York, June 23. Jockey L. Cherry has applied to the stewards for relief from his present riding contract with L. A. Cella. Cherry says he is anxious to resume riding on western tracks. He claims that he can do no good here,, even if given a chance, which he alleges in his complaint is not vouchsafed him.
