BAD DAY FOR FAVORITES AT BUFFALO. Buffalo, X. Y., June 23. Only one pronounced favorite and two second choices rewarded the faithful at Kcnilwortli Park today, hi their eagerness to back Wing Ting, the public overlooked Lucy Maries recent good races. Lucy Marie caught Wing Ting iu the stretch and won by two lengths. Jack Dolau made good at the prohibitive price of 1 to I!. He won as his rider pleased. Martin Doyle upset all calculations In the fourth race by running the three-quarters iu 1:13 , the fastest time at the meeting. William Murray has been appointed by the stewards or the Jockey Club as starter at Kenilwoiih to succeed A. B. Dade, who goes to Salem Wednesday next. Judge Joseph A. Murphy will leave for Salem track in the capacity of steward of the meeting at Rockingham Park. Fred Cook shipped from Louisville a string of ten two and three-year-olds to be raced at Kcnilwortli the remainder of the meeting.
