TRIAL OF BOOKMAKERS IS STOPPED. Detroit. Mich., July 0. The eight bookmakers summoned to appear before the Windsor magistrate were in court tills morning. While the crown attorney was in the inidst of an argument regarding the evidence in the case, word was received from the Dominion Attorney General to stay all proceedings. This is believed to mean that nothing further will bo done in the premises.
