JOHN M. P. ARRIVES FROM ENGLAND. The noted English steeplechaser John M. P., recently purchased by Grant Hugh Browne, lias arrived in New York and is now at Sheepshead Ray. Among the several Who visited the new arrival, was Thomas Hitchcock, Jr., who is .quoted-as having said of him: "John M. I, is .a grand looking horse and one can well believe the stories .of ids excellent performances. He is a typical chaser . in make up, and apparently shipped well, as he ia in lirst-class condition."
