St. Deids, hard ridden throughout, steadily improved his position and outgained Hilona in the closing strides. Inflammable came from a long way back in the stretch and finished going fast. Hilona tired fast after going a half and ran a bad race. Bill AValtcrs ran ti fairly good race. Dr. Riley came fast in the last quarter. My Gem ran poorly. AVon easily; second the same; third driving. Bud Hill, limning to his best form and setting a fast pace "all the way, withstood all challenges and won going away. Zlpango showed sudden improvement and much speed, followed the winner closoly, but tired near the end. Javanese ran well, but was sharply cut off soon after the start and again met with interference on the turn. Friction had to overcome a lot of interference and ran a bad nice. Labor began slowly and gradually improved his position and, finishing with a rush, got up in the final strides. Ziuda, going wide all the way and poorly handled, ran a sparkling race and finished going fast on Iter own courage. Laura Hunter ran a good race and held 011 well in the final drive. John A. Topsy Robinson ran as If best and, assuming a long lead soon after the start, was never seriously menaced, winning eased to a canter in the last sixteentli. Revolt, lucky for the entire trip, ran in close nursuit of the winner all the way and was much the best of the others. Tom Crowe ran a good race and was going fast at the end. Minnehaha ran in Improved form and but for being crowded on the stretch turn would have been third. Belden closed a good gap under a bad ride and can do much better. Frivol raced forwardly from the start and put up a good performance. Mamie Algol overcame Interference and finished fast. Bill Carter tired after golng three-quarters and pulled up lauic. Handy Bill was going well at the end. Gilpin wheeled at the start and was not persevered with thereafter, Booker easing him up all the way. Royal Legend tired in the last quarter. Gladiator, strongly handled, responded gamely to punishment and finished fast. Dr. McCluer, away badly, closed a big gap ami finished witli a rusli, getting up in the final stride for third place.
