Fair Calypso went Into the lead at once and, showing the most speed, raced Clara Dee Into exhaustion aud won going away. Steel Trap ran forwardly, but had to be put to a drive at the end to stall off Miss Gaiety. The latter closed a big gap and finished fast. Judex ran a good race from a bad beginning. Mag Nolin had a rough journey. Blue Grouse was shuffled back at the start aud eould never get through. Clara Dee ran a good three-quarters, then tired. Spherical was shuffled back at the start and had to go around on the outside, caught Glimmer tiring tweniv yards from the finish and won drawing away. Glimmer ran a good race, but tired from racing with Malta and Prolific and had nothing left to stall off the rush of the winner. Tom Gilroy closed a big cap. bad a rough journey and had bad racing luck. Malta tired In the stretch drive. Timothy Wen could never get up. Prolific showed speed, but tired. Gold Run was saved from the early pace and, well ridden, went to the front in the last mile and won with plenty in reserve. Madoe was always prominent, but in the last sixteenth swerved all over the track and finished on the extreme outside and carried Fra Fillipo out with him. The latter jumped well and is promising. .Lochgoil ran forwardly for the first half of the course, then tired. Fille dOr was never in the hunt. Scratched C3408Ligero, 133. B.uvolio ran to his best form and won going away, but was carried to the middle of the track after entering the stretch and bore out in the last eighth, interfering with Bon Mot. Claim or foul was made aud allowed. Bon Mot was reserved in the early running and came fast in the stretch and outstayed Peter Paul In a hot finish. The latter showed superior speed for three-quarters and tired, but held on gamely. Exclamation ran a fairly good race only. Dolinda showed speed, but tired in the stretch drive. Foxmead, off in the middle of the bunch, worked his way through and got up In the last stride to win from the tiring Reuben. The latter was much used in racing Operator into exhaustion, but ran a good race aud finished gamely. Realm began slowlv, was not persevered with and can do better. Zelhida showed a Hash of speed. Miss Point had a rough journey and was crowded back on the stretch turn after getting into a contending position. Operator was speedy, but tired in the final drive. The others were always outrun. Restoration, off badly, made up ground rapidly and held third place safe. Edward Wilder went well add is improving. Voting rau up to his mark. Jerry Sharp ran well for three-eighths, then tired.
