PROPOSED NEW RACING RULES. The Jockey Club gives notice of the following new rules, recissions and alterations to be acted upon at the meeting to be held on the afternoon of August 9. Proposd by Mr. F. R. Hitchcock that rule 1 be amended to include among recognized meetings those held by the Brighton Beach Racing Association. Proposed by Mr. J. H. Bradford that this paragraph shall be added to rule 57: "No horse shall be disqualified on account of any error or violation of rule in the entry, which might have been corrected on payment of a fine, but the stewards may Inflict fines upon, or otherwise deal with, any persons responsible for such errors." Proposed by Mr. Thomas Hitchcock, Jr., that this paragraph shall be added to rule 108: "Reckless and dangerous horsemanship or lack ot consideration for the safety of others may be punished by fine or suspension without disqualification of. the horse."
