Patagonlan, poorly ridden, showed superior ariy speed and jumped well, but was no match for the winner. Saltlnc did his best. Tiptoe broke on the inside and was shut off in the first furlong, dropped back and raced around the others on the turn, finished with a rush through the strftch and won going away. Nannie Hodge ran in forward vontention from the start, finished with a remarkable end rush and ran a brilliant race at the weight. First Premium, away in the rear, closed up rapidly on the outside and was going like a cyclone at the end. Monet, a slow beginner, worked through a rough jourey, made up a lot of ground and finished plosc ui. Prince Hamburg was shuttled to the rear early, but had clear sailing and finished fast. Bryan, on the inside and away poorly, steadily Improved his position, was pocketed for the first half and came in the stretch Willi a great rush. Edna Jackson was again prominent, but failed to stav. Handzarra was used up in pacemaklng, tired and was pulled up in the last furloiig. Robin Hood, from a flying start, showed great kih-c1 for live furlongs, warmed up sore and can do better.
