PHANTOM LIGHT WINS FEATURE AT SALEM. Salem. X. II., July 1C This was an off day at Rockingham Park and a small crowd was in attendance. The weather was ideal and the track fust. James Griffins bay filly Phantom Light had no difficulty in capturing the Wellesley Handicap of ,000 at five and one-half furlongs straightaway, for two-year-old fillies. She was in front all the way. The sixth race furnished the most exciting and closest finish of theday. Rockingham won by a short neck from Katriona. The other races were ordinary and lacking in interest. In the last race Hailcloiid was crowded to the rail at the half mile post and threw jockey Sheffield. The boy, however, was unhurt.
