ROCK SAND NOW EN ROUTE TO KENTUCKY. New York, July 10. Rock Sand, the six-year-old brown stallion, by Sainfoin Roequebrune, which August Belmont bought in England in April for 25,000, arrived here on the steamship Minneapolis this afternoon. The famous horse stood the journey well. Rock Sand had as fellow passengers on the trip, a dozen handsome Percheron stallions, consigned to another owner, but there was all the difference between the quarters of the Belmont racer and those of the draught horses that there Is between the accommodations of a first-class passenger and a traveler in the steerage. Rock Sand occupied a carefully padded stall amidship of the vessel where the vibration and the rolling were at a minimum. Mr. Belmont was on the pier waiting Kock Sands arrival. The horse was led out on the pier where his owner looked him over approvingly and then the animal, accompanied bjr the financier, was taken on a float to Jersey City, where he was put aboard a ear attached to a Pennsylvania train and despatched for Mr. Belmonts stock farm In Kentucky..
