Bariposal was well ridden, followed close up to the stretch turn, where she gradually moved up and, finishing gamely under punishment, got up in the final strides. Mint Boy ran a good race and stayed better than was, expected in the final drive. Larone had to go wide and suffered from slight interference, but finished fast with clear sailing. Maureen gained fteadily near the end and will improve. Stilll;ir:t receded fast after early prominence. Fair Fagot closed a gap aud finished fast. Ovelando had no mishaps and quit when hard pressed. Hereafter showed early speed, but is a non-stayer. Zeua and Alex Monroe ran out throughout. Docile, poorly handled, was probably best, suffered from interference on the first turn and went wide Into the stretch, but finished fast on her own courage and outgamed The Englishman In the final strides. The Englishman had no mishaps and was not good enough. Doctor Dan quit badly after showing the most speed for the first three-quarters. Captain Bob was sore when going to the lost. Mathew Gault tired badly in the stretch run after running forwardly for the first three-quarters. Cashier came fast through the stretch and is worth remembering. Verandah ran a good half lefore. tiring. The others were beaten oft after going a quarter.
