RACETRACKS OFFERED FOR STATE FAIR. Louisville, Ky., July 10. The Kentucky Slate Fair, which was formerly held at Lexington, is to be permanently located at Louisville. The Merchants Association has pledged the fair commission 63,-XX for the purchase of grounds. The site Is to be selected tills week. The State Fair this year, whicli begins on September 17, will be held either at Douglas Park or at the grounds of the Louisville Jockey Club. Charles F. Grainger, president of the latter club, has tendered the grounds free of charge to the State Board and Louis A. Cella, principal owner of the Douglas Park track, has made the same liberal offer.
