CROKERS COLT FAILS IN IKISH DEEBY. Richard Croker had great .hopes of landing the Irish Derby., run at the Curragh recently, with his Count Schomherg colt, Steinhager, hut try winner turned up in J. Lowrys Killeagh, by Killyleagh, a rank outsider, that Mr. Lowry, who bred Pretty Pollys recent conqueror. Bachelors Button, bought at auction for 20. Steinhager made up a hit for his defeat in the Derby by winning the King s Plate on the concluding day, and beating last year s Derby winner.
