Won easily; second and third driving, inspector Girl was favored by the stiff going and was saved from the fast early pace, moved up steadily after going a half and, wearing the leaders down in tha stretch, won going away. Lady March began slowly, but steadily improved her position and was going fast at the end. Cygnet ran a good race, tiring only near the end. Laeene showed early speed, but quit badly after going a half. Laura Hunter was in the deepest going all the way and tired from chasing Laeene In the early stages. Aven- dow finished fast and had a rough trip. Hybrid closed a good gap from a poor beginning. Poster showed improved form and ran a good race. Margie seemingly disliked the going and tired after going a half mile. Froward was pulled up soon after the start and had scant chance. Helmuth tired fast after going a good half. The latter ran a good race and was a game contender ill the way. Friction, away In a tangle, had to close a big gap and suffered from interference in the final drive, hut finished fast and, with better racing luck, would have won. Sainrlda had no mishaps and ran poorly. Charley Mitchell tired badly In the last quarter. Webber was away too poorly to cut much figure In the result and closed a big gap.
