Won easily; second driving; third the same. Clements.got Into the lead early, set the pace and drew out into a clear lead in the stretch and is in fine form. Mintberia, from, .a. lucky .start, -,. was. in . forward, .contention from the start finished fast and Is a stayer. Orphan Lad, away very badly, closed an immeuse gap and was best. Black Mate" had a good start, but lacljed. speed to MH liis position, was forced back and baa no chance after meeting uerlQUS Interference on the last turn. Knight of Ivanhoe also suffered from crowding at the start, made np a dozen lengths on the leaders and ran a cracking race. Dele Strome finished close up and going well. Kiameslia outclassed the others, but was slightly handicapped by the going, made the running by a wide gap until in the final sixteenth, where she was eased up. liryan finished with a belated rush after maintaining a long lead over the others. Corn Blossom began slowly and trailed too long in the rear, closed up suddenly and at the end was going fastest of all. The other two quit badly after showing early speed. Hyperion forged to the front on the first turn, was never seriously menaced afterwards and was much the best. Azellna closed up rapidly in the middle half and finished a fast going second. Edith James, away very badly, closed an immense gap, finished like a cyclone and ran a cracking race. Sir Caruthers ran forwardly to the half, where he commenced to fall back and was carefully nursed to save third place, but was not good enough. Wrenne was securely pocketed next to -the rail while running the middle half. Goldsmith went moderately well. Champlain ran a bad race. Sir Huon far outclassed the others, maintained a position within striking distance of the pacemaker to the stretch, where he passed him as if lie was anchored when called upon and won pulled up. . Albert F., a coming good colt, set the pace from the start and stood a drive gamely to stall off Maxie Witt. The latter was always close to ttie leader and under a pull for the first six furlongs, but could never quite get up and pass Albert F. Royal Scot went moderately well, but was outpaced. Gallavant boiled at the start, sulked and ran a generally bad race in going supposed to favor him. Far West jumped into the lead at the start and won all the way, shaking off Blandy in the stretch after being hard pressed by the latter all around the turn. Sailor Boy, skillfully and vigorously ridden, maintained a forward position throughout and was a fast going s.econd, showing remarkable improvement. Blandy, favored by the going, ran kindly for seven furlongs, pressed the winner closely for that distance and then began to sulk under punishment. Von Tromp, evidently handicapped by the going, was beaten off. Geranium was hopelessly outpaced throughout and is in bad form. Dominaior always maintained a place In forward contention and finished fast andgamely. Dunvallo, away poorly, closed a big gap and finished with a great rush. Roseniount showed superior early speed, but tired in the closing rush. Colonel Jack finished close up. Judge Post and Pierrot got off poorly and were evidently handicapped by the going. Tyron, away slowly, rapidly overhauled the leader and, racing into a long lead on the far turn, fame on and won off. Reidmoore, shuffled back on the first turn, steadily improved his position in the middle half and finished like a shot. Novena ran prominently and gamely throughout and is showing steady improvement. Thomond was crowded and knocked out of contention on the first turn, made up .a lot of ground thereafter and was unlucky to have been unplaced. Janeta, from a Hying start, stole a long had on the first turn, but quit early and ran poorly. Elevation failed to stay.
