DADES WOBK IS OF A HIGH ORDER. New York, July 17. The work of starter Dade at Brighton so far has been of a high order of excellence. He has been able to prove conclusively that the standing start is the best method of sending the horses away from the post, and it is said that the Jockey Club is well pleased with his demonstration of the policy which the stewards have steadfastly advocated all along. It is with firmness, yet perfect fairness, that Dade controls the jockeys. All of them receive equitable treatment at his hands. He plays no favorites and does his best. Furthermore. Dade is using the McGInnis barrier, formerly employed by C. J. Fitzgerald, which is of undoubted assistance. The new starter has made an army of friends here and has also won the complete confidence of the racing public. He has set a standard of excellence which will make Mars Cassidy hustle when the latter resumes work at Saratoga.
