Generally for the past four or five years the two-year-olds have predominated. Of the ten winners five are western owned horses. The principal contributions to Sir Huous total were made by his winning the most valuable of all western handicaps and one of the most valuable of the big eastern handicaps, in both of -which he gave weight to noted older horses and eloquent testimony to his high class as, perhaps, the best three-year-old of l!KXi. The Iig stakes to he decided in the course of the next two months will bring about great changes in the positions of the leading horses, but, with the exception of Go Between and Burgomaster, those in the winning list are likely to take a part in the division of the spoils.
