FOUL RIDING AT LATONIA. BOTTLES IS DISQUALIFIED AFTER FINISHING SECOND TO OVELANDO. Morales Does Some Bumping:, Too Meadowhreez Easily Wins the Handicap Hayes Ships Half a Dozen Horses to Saratoga. Cincinnati, O., August 2. A free handicap at three-quarters of a mile and a sprint at five and one-half furlongs that brought out some good two-year-olds, were the features of an ordinary program at Latonia today. Meadowbreeze seemiDgly had the best of the weights in the handicap and came in for good support. -He broke In front to a fair start, early secured an advantage of three lengths over the otliers, carried his competitors along1 so fast that none of them could get near him, and won easily. With his Impost of 124 pounds. Colonel Jim Douglas ran an extra good race and finished a fast going third, John L. Inglis taking second place. In the two-year-old race, won by Ovelando, Bottles finished a rapidly closing second, but was disqualified for fouling Morales. It seemed as if the judges could have gone a bit further and disqualified Morales also, as Seder, on the Flzer colt, was apparently as much to blame for the interference. Cam-ille had all the worst of the bumping and was almost thrown down afc the final sixteenth post. T. P. Hayes shipped six horses to Saratoga today. They are Funlculalre, Princess Orna, BInondo, Red-gauntlet, Fair Fagot and Aline Crockett. With the consignment was shipped Hazelthorpe, belonging to Ed Alvey. Jockey NIcol took a day off to go fishing and will return to the saddle tomorrow. John Carroll and Alma "Dufour willbe shipped to run in a stake at Fort Erie next Saturday. Jockey E. Morrison will accompany the horses and ride John Carroll; J. Daly has been engaged to ride Alma Dufour. W. Buchanan was to have ridden Weberflelds today, but refrained from doing so on account of a sore arm. May Overton passed through here today en route from New York. He says there will not be a fall meeting at Nashville tills year. Jockey C. Morris was suspended for three days by the starter for disobedience at the post in the fourth race and was later on fined 3 by the judges for rough riding on Bottles.
