Nannie Hodge is in wonderful form, had a Hying start, but Sewell took her back anil gave her a breathing spell on the far turn, then she came on with an irresistible stretch sprint aud got Tip in the last stride. Far West raced into the lead early and set a stiff pace, drew clear at the half, hut finally and unexpectedly succumbed right at the end under a sloppy finish. King Colo is in rare form, steadily improved his position in the closing half and earned third place right at the end. Van Ness ran in close pursuit of the pacemaker in the early running and tired unexpectedly in the closing drive. Monacodor steadily Improved his position and finished close up in a good effort. Gold Lady, close to a high-class filly, was outpaced and had a forlorn chance for the first three furlongs, but closed up with a remarkable run on the last turn and in the stretch, winning going away fast. Golf Ball, from a flying start, set a tremendous pace, drawing away in the stretch like a certain winner and was totally unprepared for Gold Ladys end challenge. Montgomery got away poorly, closed a big early gap, seriously menaced the favorite on the last turn and then suddenly tired. Dunvallo ran alongslq the pacemaker to the stretch, where he fell back, but ran a good race. Beauclere made up considerable ground. James Crawford showed superior speed for live furlongs. Donna lost ground "on the first turn, but moved up rapidly when, beginning the last half, saved ground on the turns and won off by herself. Water Tank made the running very easily for six furlongs, but commenced to bore out on the far turn and, finally going very wide, let the winner up on the inside and could never overhaul her afterwards. Cholk Iledrick ran in close pursuit of the leaders from the start and appeared to be running well in hand on the last turn, when he liolted and lost all chance of being first or second. Deshon went well for half the journey. Janeta is in bad form. Elwood was unable to raise a respectable gallop. Dandelion, reserved from the start in close attendance on the pacemakers, moved up on the last turn ami turned for home with an apparuntly easy lead, but only scored after a terrific closing drive. Coy Maid practically forced the pace for the first mile and, after relinquishing the lead to Dandelion, came on again persistently and just failed to get up. Cederstrome, taken back at the half, came on again and earned a game third, going fastest of all. Dolly Spanker ran forwardiy from the start and. after looming up well on the last turn, tired badly right at the end. Tokalon was always outpaced, moved up and looked well momentarily at the half, but failed badly. Lady Savoy ran forwardiy for seven furlongs. Scratched 03SS2 Rains Horn, 124. Jim Leonard made the early running and ouly snccumbed after a game closing effort. Roswell, away poorly, closed a big gap and finished gamely on the inside after squeezing his way through in the last furlong. Umbrella journeyed in close quarters on the inside and, because of a weak finish, lost third place. Rifleman, away poorly aud a slow beginner, closed a big gap. Clements, pocketed and badly messed about for the first half, also finished fast. Ellicott was never dangerous Athens failed to stay. Jaunty was coming through at the eighth iost, when she fell. Turlac, after trailing far in the rear, closed n big gap in the hist half. Park Row quit badly at the end of six furlongs. The others were beaten off from the start. Jennie McCabe came fast from the rear and dropped into an easy third place. Red Leaf was never dangerous. Gold Coin failed to stay after going a prominent seven furlongs. Bryan ran disappointingly.
