SHIELDS HOLDS GO BETWEEN AT 0,000. New York, August 2. "My horses are for sale to any one who wants to pay the price;" says Alex. Shields. "That is not saying that I am going to race abroad, but simply that I have good horses and that, there Is a price on each and every one of them. I think I have the best distance horse in training la Go Between and the best sprinter In Halifax. Go Between will carry any weight and run as far as horses are asked to go these days. Halifax worked so fast for me that I am convinced he Is absolutely the fastest horse in the world. Prices? Well, no one has tried to buy either of them, but if they pass out of my possession I will be worth 0,000 more than I am now. Go Between is worth 0,000 and the little horse two-thirds of that amount."
