Scotch Dance, running to his best form and well ridden, was a forward contender to the stretch turn, where, under keen urging, he assumed the lead and won drawing away. Weberfields set a. fast pace all the way and stayed well in the final drive. Prince of Tless, poorly handled, was probably best and, letter ridden, would have won. Stillhunt ran a good nice and had- to overcome a lot of Interference. Early Boy tired after going a good hair. McCutchen had lo go wide all the Way and showed speed. Lucullus was away In a tangle and ran a dull nice-. Esterre showed a good flash of speed before tiring. Beatrice K. was badly ridden and ran a poor race. Scratched 0394S Posing, 99. Webber, much the best, forced the pace in the early stages and had to stand for a lot of bumping from I!e-i.itiful Mayo through Taylors rough tactics, moved up gamely when straightened out for the! stretch run and won with plenty in reserve. Gromoboi began slowly, hut saved much ground .when turning into the stretch and, standing a hard drive well, outstayed Beautiful Mayo. The latter, given a bad ride and taken extremely wide into the stretch, would have been a close contender at the end and a certain second with better, handling. Sir Aagrant ran a fairly good race and finished going fast. Tom Morgan tired badly in the last furlong after, early prominence. The others were always outrun. Overweights AValter McLeani 2 pounds. Field Lark, well ridden, was reserved in the early running and to the stretch turn, where she moved up fast when called on, but had to be hard ridden near the end to stall off a resolute challenge by Zinda. The latter went wide most of the way, finished with a rush and was going gamely at the end. Nine began slowly, but improved his position gradually, closed a big gap, finished fast and will Improve. Magic, away in a tangle, showed speed and, after saving ground when turning into the stretch, finished fast. Sand Bath ran a fairly good race only. Minnehaha tired badly in the final drive. Oasis ran a bad race, tiring badly in the final quarter. Miss Anxious quit. Babe B. lacked speed. Ethel Day had no mishaps, was not good enough and is not partial to much weight. Coruscate ran a fairly good race and finished fast, but fuvors a longer distance. Scratched 39GG3Devout, 107. Bottles, going wide all the way, ran a good race, hut bore in Slightly through the stretch, thereby Interfering with Morales, which in turn almost caused Cainille to fall, and was disqualified for fouling. Morales, away in a tangle, ran a good race and would bave been closer up but for the mishap. Bitter Boy, showing steady improvement, came fast through the stretch and finislied going gamely. Capitano ran a poor race aud tired badly in the last quarter. Dr. Burch showed !leed, but dislikes to go a distance. Golden Mineral ran a fairly good half before tiring.
