HORSE KILLED; OWNER INJURED. Whlilletree, the three-year-old bay colt, by Maxlo Llnch Pin, is dead and his owner, Joseph McGann, Is In bed with internal injuries. McGann had an Idea that the colt would make a good jumper. He secured permission to school him at Morris Park. Last Monday morning McGann mounted Whlilletree and started on a trip through the field. Horse and rider got safely over half a dozen obstacles, bnt at the next one the horse landed on his head, broke his neck and sent his rider sailing to a frightful fall twenty feet away. Whlilletree was a maiden. He had only started twice, once last year and once this year, his last race being at Jamaica.
