WANT OAKXEY TRACK FOR FACTORIES. Cincinnati, O., August 24. The Factory Colony Company is about to close a deal whereby it becomes the owner of the Oakley racetrack "grounds, composed xf 10S acres. Glen Brown, the real estate broker, yesterday retiirhed from the east, having in his possession an pption signed by O. A. Jones and A. J. Welsh, which was made out at Saratoga on August IS. The contract .provides that in the event of the option being exercised the present owners are to have the right to conduct a trotting meeting on the track next October. Glen Brown last night stated that the directors of the Colony Company would undoubtedly accept the option before the expiration of another week. The owners Vfant 83,000, or about ,723 an acre, for the entire tract, which contains an immense grandstand, a large clubhouse, a big steel betting ring and stables, with 800 stalls. The number of inquiries which have been coming. Into the Factory Colony Company for space at Oakley caused it to look about for adjoiuing..pieces. If the racetrack is purchased, this, in addition to the 122 acres already in its hands, would make :i plot of ground of 230 acres, all In one piece, and almost perfectly level. Messrs, Jones and Welsh, the owners of the racetrack, have been receiving a good income from the property, and heretofore rejected all advances for the sale of the property. , The Cincinnati .Golf Club has a lease on the grounds under certain conditions, which amounts to ,500 per annum.
