LOS ANGELES JOCKEY CLUB STAKES. The winter meeting of the Los Angeles Jockey Club will open at Ascot Park Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 29. It is the present intention that the meeting shall close at the end of ninety racing days, which will be March 13. The club announces sixteen stakes to close November 1, to which a total of 25,500 is added. In addition to these stakes it is anuounced that 275,000 will be distributed in puses during the meeting. The list of stakes, together with the dates on which they are to be .decided is as follows: Jonathan Club Handicap, for two-year-olds and upward, 1,500 added; one mile and oneslxteenth; to be run opening day, Thursday, November 29. Santa Catalina Selling Stakes, for three-year-olds and upward, 1,250 added; seven furlongs; Saturday, December 8. Riverside Selling Stakes, for -three-year-olds and upward, 1,500 added; one mile; Saturday, December 15. California Club Handicap, for two-year-olds, in 1906, 1,500 added; one mile; Tuesday, December 25. Rose Selling Stakes, for three-year-olds and upward at time of closing, 2,000 added; one mile and one-sixteenth; Tuesday, January 1. Hollywood Handicap, for" two-year-olds and upward at time of closing, 1,500 added; one mile; Saturday, January 0. Coronado Beach Selling Stakes, for two-year-olds and upward at time of closing, 1,500 added; one and one-sixteenth miles; Saturday, January 12. Pasadena Handicap, for two-year-olds and upward at time of closing, 1,500 added; one mile and one-eighth; Satuday, January 19. Santa Anita Handicap, for two-year-olds and upward at time of closing, 1,500 added; Brooks Course; Saturday, January 20. Ascot Oaks, for fillies three years old in 1907, 1,500 added; one mile; Saturday, February 2. Ascot Handicap, for two-year-olds and upward at time of closing, 3,000 added; one mile and one-quarter; Saturday, February 9. Woodlands Stakes, for two-year-olds in 1907, 1,500 added; one-half mile; Saturday, February 10. Ascot Derby, for three-year-olds of 1907, 2,000 added; The Brooks Course; Friday, February 22. Santa Barbara Stakes, for two-year-olds in 1907, 1,000 added; four and one-half furlongs; Wednesday, February 27. Ascot Cup, for two-year-olds and upward at time of closing, 1,500 added; two miles; Saturday, March 2. Santa Monica Stakes, for two-year-olds in 1907, 1,000. added: one-halt mile; Saturday, March 9. - The Brooks Course la 73 yards short of a mile and a quarter.
