J. E; SEAGRAM SEEKS TREUBELS SERVICES. Judge Hamilton Is Asked to Define the Length of. Lads Suspension Toronto Hacing News. Toronto. Ont., September 17. The steeplechase at two miles, was the feature at Woodbine today. It resulted in an upset, the race going to Gold Run quoted at 7 to 1. The equal choices, Bob Alone and Opuntia, both fell at the fourth jump. Bob Alone was remounted, but could not get up In time to finish inside the money. The last race furnished the most -spectacular finish of the day, Granada, Anna Day and Request being necks apart. Ormondes-Right, winner of the mile race, is a "man eater" and had to be muzzled. It was the first time at Woodbine that a muzzled horse had won and It aroused the curiosity of the spectators. Jockey Koerner celebrated his arrival here by riding inside the money in four mounts out of five. lie would undoubtedly have won with his fifth mount had not Thespian thrown hiin at the far turn. Thespian ran away three miles after the race. Koerner will ride for J. H. Madigan. Jockey Treubel arrived from Louisville Saturday and was at the track today. Joseph E. Seagram president of the Ontario Jockey Club and Treubels employer here last spring, is eager for Truebels services at the present meeting. However, the jockey will not be allowed to ride until his standing at Louisville is established. Tonight Secretary Frazer telegraphed to Judge Hamilton and Secretary Woodruff in relation to Treubels suspension at Douglas Park. Treubel claims his suspension only related to the period at Douglas Park, ending last Saturday and that he is free to ride anywhere. If a favorable reply is received from Judge Hamilton the boy will be allowed to ride, for Mr. Seagram. The suspension of jockey Dealy has been partially lifted and-he will be allowed to ride here the horses trained by his father. Jockey Dennlson arrived this morning from Baltimore. He is under contract to J. W. Pangle. Edward Corrigans two-year-old Planute was badly ;injuredtOnr the. car8-w.hilc comhig.here4 .and willj not face tor some -time.
