Kan- sasl Price, was ruled off the turf today by the stewards of the Crescent City Jockey Club for viola- tiou of the Western Jockey Clubs rule against the drugging of horses. According to the rumor around the track Hastings has been peddling a prescription. Hastings is said to have admitted to the stewards Is he had "doped" horses on several occasions and that more than once he had done it without the i. knowledge of the owners.
