Is NO NEW RACE COURSES. A bill has been introduced into the Legislative Assembly of West Australia, which will have the effect of preventing any now race courses being opened in the state for the next two years without the sanction of the Colonial Secretary. Only courses in existence on October 1, 1906. will lie recognized under the bill. The currency of the measure will tie for two years, as the government recognizes that within that period it will be necessary to bring forward new and comprehensive legislation for the regulation and control of horse racing.
