OAKLANDS LONG MEETING CLOSES. Big Crowd In Attendance Judge Hopper Leaves for Latonia Today. Oakland, Cal., June 22. The one hundred and eighty-seventh and closing day of the New California Jockey Clubs race meeting of 1000-07 was marked by a tremendous attendance and unparalleled enthusiasm. The card was one of the best of the season and furnished lirst class racing. Four favorites and two second choices were successful. Kirschbaum, one of the prominent jockey finds, developed during the season, rode three of the winners. Judge Hopper leaves tomorrow for Latonia, where he is to preside. Associate Judge Egbert left tonight for Seattle, where ho is to act as presiding judge at the meeting that is to open at The Meadows.
