Ben Strong, fresh and good after his long rest,- ran to his liest form and was well ridden, wore down Beusoiihurst after going live furlongs and won drawing away. Bensonhurst, away fast and showing superior speed, led uuextencled for the lirst half, then tired, but held on well in the final drive. 1ele-sco1e away in a tangle and suffering from interference, ran a good race and was liesl. Lacache was gaining ut the end and would have be.m closer up but for going wide. Potter quit badly after going live furlougs. Western ran fairly well and tinished fast from a slow beginning. Cora Dusant showed improved form and Was a sharp contender most of the way, finishing gamely. Ches-wardine eiosed a big gap from a poor beginning. Colonel Brady was in a jam most of the way and ran sluggishlv. Clear Run showed a good burst of speed, but tired after going a quarter. Nazimova ran preen and will improve. Tileing, well handled ami reserved in tlie early running, swung a trifle wide into tlie stretch and secured clear sailing, then came on with great speed, wore down Pasadena in tlie last furlong and won drawing away. Pasadena kept Phil Finch close company in tlie early stages, wore him down on tlie stretch turn and seemed a certain winner, but could not withstand Tileings rush at the finish. Phil Flucli ran a good nice and tct a stiff pace nearly all the way, but failed ii tlie final drive. The Minks closed a big gap In the last half and was going gamely at the end. Lexolliio was prominent all the way and tired slightly at the end. King of Troy ran fairly well and but for lcginning slowly would have been much closer up. Peter Sterling had a rough trip. Old Honesty ran a goxl race. Prince Ahmed was away poorly and had scant chance with tlie interference he suffered from.
