KENTUCKY RACING NOTES. Lexington. Ky.. June 22. Milton Youngs much-talked-of two-year-old colt. Inspector, which was taken east with W. II. Laudeinans stable in charge or Trainer Kim Pattterson, went wrong recently in his work at Cravesend and this week was shipped back to McGrathiana Farm. He forfeited a number of valuable stake engagements. The two-year-old chestnut lilly. Los Angeles II.. by The Hard Los Angeles, by Glenelg, arrived here from New York this week to be retired to the stud at Hamburg Place. With her came P. T. Chiiins recent eastern purchase, the three-year-old bay filly, Chinela, by Hen Brush Fairy Slipper, which is also booked for the stud. Chinela is a near relative to Peter Pan, her dam, Fairy Slipper, being a half sister to J. it. Keenes great colt. The two well-known performers, Jake Sanders and Ilaiiinieraway, both of which are owned hy Henry .McDaniel, are running out here at the farms of John Denton and J. C. Milam. McDaniel is letting them rest up for a campaign the coining winter. The veterinarians say both will stand training again. Reckon, the winner of the Astoria Stakes, is the seventh winner dropped by the brood mare Semaphore, she being also the dam of Hyphen, Sou-brette II.. Sauterne, Sedan, Swing and Shrove Tuesday. Semaphore foaled Beckon when she was eighteen years old. John Morris yearling brown colt by Griffon, out of Llainlriiiio, by The Arrow, was weighed the other day at Woodburn Farm and balanced the beam at 020 pounds. lie is a half -brother to three slake winners, Mexican, Lackland and .Boanerges. Mr. Morris has twenty -one other yearlings now at Woodburn Farm. It is the largest crop he has ever raised.
