BETTER PRICES PAID FOR YEARLINGS. Yesterdays Average 63 H. B. Duryea Buys Six for 4,400 Top Figure ,000. New York. June 22. Big prices were realized at the sale of Elmendorf yearlings today, forty-three head selling for 7,100, an average of SS03 per Jicad. II. 15. Duryea was the principal buyer, paying 4.KI0 for six head, lie paid the top price of the day, ?5,000 for the lialf-brothor to Cairngorm and Rig Gun, and lie gave ,100 for the brother to Apple Toddy. C. E. Durnell was a good purchaser Hgaln. He paid 83,000 for the half-brother to Be-douin. and ,000 for the half-brother to Walter .Miller. Frank J. Farrell paid ,200 for the brother to Clark Griffith. Thomas II. Williams, president of the New California Jockey Club paid ,000 for the half-brother to Palm Room. The bidding was brisk on the choice lots. The offering was fifty-two head, nine of which were passed. The forty-three sold were as follows: Ray colt, by Mimic Islay; F.
