Hylas was reserved from the early pace and never made a move until in the last turn of the course, where he went up and, after a hard drive through the fiat, finally won drawing away. Agent put up a superior 1 performance and finished gamely under punishment. Rocket fenced well and was a game contender to the last half, then tired. Coligny went poorly and much below his best form. Arcite was in a good position when making the first turn, but was knocked almost to his knees and had no chance after that. Oran was always hopelessly outpaced. Lancastrian ran in behind the early leaders and came on fast and gamely at the end. Flimuap came fast from last place and just got up in time to beat out the tiring Herman. Tlie latter showed superior early speed, but tired from paceniakiug. James N. showed speed, but failed to stay. Colonel AVhite ran a bad race and can easily beat such horses. Zethus was outrun ipthe early stages, but came from a long way back and finished with a great rush. Prince Hampton made up his ground gradually and just got up In time to beat out the tiring Altuda. The latter followed Crackenthorpe closely to the stretch and probably was short. Minlota closed a huge gap. Craekciithorpe ran a fast seven furlongs and tired and may be a non-stayer.
