PROFIT IN SIGHT AT KENILWORTH. Expected that Murphy ancf Lazarus Will Take Over the Controlling Interest. Buffalo. N. Y.. June 22. If the patronage at Keuilworth Park for the coining twenty-four days continues as good as it has been for these first seven of the spring meeting, it is entirely probable that Messrs. Joseph A. Murphy and Samuel Lazarus will close their option and take over the controlling interest in the plant now held hy the Westchester Racing Association. Last spring .Messrs. Murphy and Lazarus leased Keuilworth with the privilege of buying the controlling interest next fall. The attendance here on Derby Day was at least 12,NHl and no day has seen less than -1,000 people at t lie track. Among the apprentice jockeys here. J. Murphy, who rode well at Montreal, and James Hogg and I. Rosen are regarded as likely to become good jockeys. Rosen is under contract to August Belmont and was sent hero by trainer John Whalen to ride as a free lance. M. Boasberg is looking after the boys interests at Keuilworth and lie has succeeded in getting him a number of mounts. James Hogg is with the stable of M. L. and J. L. Ilny-nian. He is a cousin of Joseph Hogg who has not ridden since lie had his leg broken at New Orleans, but will soon return to the saddle. Messrs. Hay man have about forty horses here. The majority of them are two-year-olds. They are a good looking lot and some of them should win before long. It is understood to be the intention of the owners to weed out the stable within the coming fortnight, reserving only such as they believe can win over New York tracks. All of the horses in Jules Carsons stable are in good condition. They are in charge of Carsons father, Abe Carson. Win. II. Lyon is the best of the two-year-olds. The disappointment of the meeting lias been the lack of good junipers. The fields which have started in the cross-country races have been very ordinary, indeed, and any good horse could have won every steeplechase run so far. As in past seasons, the track is policed by the Piiikerlons under charge or Captain Rogers, a capable man. Since Captain Rogers advent here the absence of touts has been noticeable and he has been christened by that element the "tout-terror."
