TEE TICK IN A HARD DRIVE; LAZARUS FILLY WINS FEATURE OF THE CLOSING DAY AT BUFFALO. Heine a Good Thing in a Soft Spot Depar-. tures of Horsemen and Horses For Other Points. Buffalo, N. Y., July 20. The meeting of thirty-one days at Kenllworfh Park came to a close with the running of todays program. The features of the card were the Genesee Stakes, for two-year-olds, the Tonawanda Handicap, at one mile for three-year-olds and over, and a steeplechase over the two-mile course. The contests were interesting and a majority of the finishes were close enough to be exciting. Tee Tick, under the judicious riding of Musgravc, won the Genesee Stakes. When the leaders swung wide when entering the homestretch Musgravc sl-ot Tee Tick up next to the inside rail and at the furlong post was on equal terms with the leaders. When it came to a drive Tee Tick, displaying rare ganicness, drew away and won by a length. There was a high wind blowing up the homestretch and tills accounted for the rather slow time, the five furlongs being run in 1:02J. The history of the Genesee Stakes is tabled below: Year. Winner. They had placed him in a soft spot and wagered heavily on his chances. There was never any question as to the result after the start. Heine dashed into the lead and the further he went the bigger the gap he openciL General Manager Joseph A. Murphy, who also acted as the presiding judge and haudicapper, will leave during the week for his home in St. Louis, where he will rest up until the opening of the Dallas, Texas, meeting. Trainer A. G. Weston will ship the horses owned by Thomas Clyde to Salisbury, Mil., where they will be turned out. Mr. Weston will retain the string of R. T. Wilson, Jr., and race them at Fort Erie. C. C. Rumrill, who has charge of the stable of Samuel Lazarus, will ship twelve horses to Saratoga Monday. James McLaughlin, Jr., has succeeded K. Johnstone as trainer for the M. B. Spaulding horses and will race them at Fort Erie. Michael Hogan, of Padre fame, has been summoned to New York by R. II. McCarter Potter to take charge of a division of his stable which is to lie campaigned at Saratoga. Starter Dade and his assistants will leave for New York tomorrow and will relieve starter Cassidy and his force at Brisbton Beach Monday. Jockeys McDaniel, John Hennessy, Buck, Alex, and Barnett left for New York tonight. Willie Shields shipped the live horses he has been racing on the northern circuit back to New York tonight. The division of the stable of J. W. Colt which lias been racing at Kenilworth left tonight for Sheepshcad Bay. Colonel Rofiert Nevilles stable will leave for Saratoga tomorrow. Jule Garsons string goes to Belmont Park. H. Rites horses will be shipped to Baltimore to be rested up unil the fall meeting at Pimlico. J. Dymcnt today purchased at a private figure from Mr. Rites the two-year-old Uncle Toby.
