SANCTION IS AGAIN DENIED. New York, September 2. The stewards of the Jockey Club, acting on u reapplication from the Jamestown Jockey Club for a license for a race meeting, to be conducted in connection with the Jamestown Imposition celebration, Saturday decided by resolution that they cannot see their way to a change of opinion from the decision early lu the year that they would not grant a license, for the proposed race meeting. The action by the stewards on the original application was taken in part, because of the fact that the Virginia law makes no provision for the conduct of race meetings under legal protection.
